1Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and OakWrites regarding your use of oakwrites.com, your account, and any services supplied through the website, email, client portal, forms, payment links, or other approved communication channels.
By accessing the website, registering an account, submitting an inquiry, approving a quotation, making payment, or using a delivered service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or purchase our services.
2Definitions
“OakWrites,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the operator of OakWrites and the persons authorized to provide its services.
“Client,” “you,” or “your” means the person who visits the website, creates an account, requests or purchases a service, or receives a deliverable.
“Order” means a service request we have accepted, together with its agreed instructions, deadline, price, and deliverables.
“Deliverable” means the document, presentation, edit, review, report, or other work supplied in connection with an Order.
“Original instructions” means the requirements, files, rubric, formatting directions, scope, and deadline accepted when the Order was confirmed.
3Eligibility and accounts
You must have legal capacity to enter into a contract. Where you are below the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may use OakWrites only with the involvement and consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
You must provide accurate registration and contact information, protect your login credentials, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred, shared for abuse, or used to impersonate another person. We may request reasonable verification where necessary to protect a client, prevent fraud, comply with payment requirements, or secure the platform.
4Our services
OakWrites may provide academic writing support, editing, proofreading, formatting, presentation development, business writing, research assistance, citation support, document enhancement, and other services described on our Services page.
The exact service supplied is limited to the scope stated in the accepted quotation or Order. Website descriptions are general and do not guarantee that every service, subject, deadline, file type, or specialist will always be available.
We may use appropriately qualified writers, editors, designers, reviewers, or service providers to complete or quality-check an Order. OakWrites remains responsible for managing the service relationship with the Client.
5Academic integrity and responsible use
OakWrites provides educational support, research assistance, examples, editing, and reference materials. You are responsible for using every Deliverable consistently with your institution’s rules, professional obligations, applicable law, and any disclosure requirements relating to outside assistance or artificial intelligence.
You must not represent a Deliverable as your own original work where doing so would violate academic, professional, institutional, or legal rules. You should review, understand, personalize, verify, and appropriately cite or acknowledge material before using it.
We may refuse requests that clearly involve impersonation, examination cheating, falsification of records or data, fabrication of research, plagiarism, unlawful conduct, or other serious misconduct.
6Orders and quotations
Submitting a form or inquiry does not automatically create an Order. We may review your instructions, ask questions, assess availability, and issue a quotation. An Order becomes confirmed when we expressly accept it and receive any required payment or deposit.
You must provide complete instructions, the correct academic level, required length, citation style, deadline, rubric, source requirements, files, and any other material necessary for the work. We are not responsible for an issue caused by missing, unclear, inaccurate, or late information.
Any requirement introduced after confirmation may be treated as a change of scope. We may adjust the price or deadline, decline the additional work, or issue a separate quotation.
Large, complex, specialist, or urgent Orders may be subject to custom pricing and additional conditions communicated before payment.
7Pricing and payment
Website prices are indicative unless expressly stated as fixed. The final price depends on factors such as service type, academic level, length, complexity, deadline, research requirements, file condition, and additional features. Current general pricing information is available on our Pricing page.
You must pay the amount and currency stated in your quotation or checkout before work begins unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payment may be processed by an independent payment provider, and its separate terms may apply.
You are responsible for transaction charges, currency conversion costs, taxes, or fees imposed by your bank, payment provider, or jurisdiction unless the quotation expressly includes them.
We may pause or withhold work where payment is reversed, disputed, incomplete, suspected to be fraudulent, or otherwise not successfully received.
8Client materials and instructions
You confirm that you have the right to upload, send, or authorize our use of all materials supplied to us. You retain ownership of your materials, subject to the limited permission necessary for us to review them, provide the service, communicate with you, secure our systems, and comply with law.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive personal data, passwords, confidential third-party records, patient-identifiable information, financial credentials, classified information, or unlawful content. Where sensitive information is essential, remove or anonymize identifying details whenever possible before submission.
You are responsible for retaining copies of your files. Although we take reasonable precautions, OakWrites is not a permanent storage or backup service.
9Deadlines and delivery
Delivery times begin when the Order is confirmed and we have received all information and payment required to start. A deadline may be extended where you provide instructions or materials late, request changes, fail to answer an essential question, or where an event beyond reasonable control affects performance.
Delivery may occur through the client portal, email, a secure download link, or another method we approve. You are responsible for checking your account, inbox, spam folder, and contact details.
You must inspect the Deliverable promptly and report any technical issue, missing file, corruption, or material nonconformity as soon as reasonably possible.
10Revisions
A revision is a reasonable correction needed to align a Deliverable with the original instructions. Revision eligibility, limits, and timing may depend on the service and the terms stated in the quotation, Order, or applicable policy.
A revision does not include a new topic, different instructions, additional pages or slides, a new source requirement, changed rubric, substantially altered structure, shortened deadline, or other request outside the original scope. Such work may require an additional charge and revised delivery date.
You must give specific, consolidated revision instructions. We may request evidence of the original requirement or feedback where necessary to assess the request.
11Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an inquiry or unpaid quotation without charge. Once payment is made or work begins, cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the work completed, resources committed, service delivered, and the circumstances described in our Refund Policy.
Approved refunds are returned using an available method and may be reduced by non-refundable transaction charges or work already completed where permitted by law. Processing time may depend on the payment provider and financial institution.
A chargeback or payment dispute should not be used as a substitute for contacting us. Please use our Contact page so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.
12Quality, sources, and originality
We aim to follow the confirmed instructions and apply reasonable quality controls. However, writing, editing, similarity analysis, AI-detection systems, grading, and professional evaluation involve judgment and may vary between instructors, institutions, software tools, and reviewers.
No plagiarism, similarity, originality, or AI-detection tool can provide an absolute or universal result. Reports from different systems may conflict or change after submission. Unless expressly included in an Order, a particular third-party report is not guaranteed.
You are responsible for checking factual claims, calculations, citations, links, source accessibility, local requirements, and the suitability of the Deliverable before relying on or submitting it.
13Intellectual property
The OakWrites name, logo, website design, text, graphics, software, templates, and other site content are owned by or licensed to OakWrites and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, republish, sell, imitate, or exploit them without authorization.
After full payment, you receive a personal, non-exclusive right to use the Deliverable for the lawful purpose for which it was supplied, subject to these Terms and third-party rights. Unless expressly agreed, the transfer does not include OakWrites’ underlying systems, reusable templates, methods, prompts, licensed assets, or internal quality materials.
You may not resell Deliverables, operate a competing service using them, or remove third-party attribution or licence notices where attribution is required.
14Privacy and confidentiality
Our collection and use of personal data are explained in our Privacy Policy. By using OakWrites, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described there and as permitted by applicable law.
We take reasonable steps to keep Order information confidential and limit access to persons who need it to provide, administer, secure, or support the service. Confidentiality does not apply to information that is public through no breach by us, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, authorized for disclosure, or required to be disclosed by law.
Internet transmission and electronic storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use strong passwords, avoid public sharing links, and promptly report suspected compromise.
15Communications and notices
You consent to receive transactional communications necessary to manage your account, quotation, payment, Order, delivery, revision, security, or support request. These are not optional marketing messages.
Where permitted, marketing communications will be sent in accordance with your choices and applicable law. You may unsubscribe from promotional messages, but we may still send essential service communications.
Keep communication within OakWrites’ approved channels and, where requested, reply within the existing Order thread so that instructions remain accurate and traceable.
16Prohibited uses
You must not use OakWrites to:
- commit fraud, impersonation, plagiarism, examination misconduct, or other unlawful or dishonest conduct;
- request fabricated data, false credentials, forged documents, fake records, or deceptive evidence;
- upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass security, scrape restricted content, or disrupt the website;
- infringe copyright, confidentiality, privacy, contractual, or other rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or discriminate against another person;
- submit content that is illegal, malicious, defamatory, or intended to facilitate harm;
- circumvent payment, abuse promotions or referrals, or initiate dishonest disputes;
- resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit a service without written permission.
17Suspension, termination, and refusal of service
We may refuse a request, suspend work, restrict access, or close an account where reasonably necessary to address non-payment, abuse, fraud, security risk, illegal activity, serious academic misconduct, harassment, repeated policy violations, or a breach of these Terms.
Where appropriate, we may give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be taken where delay could expose a person, OakWrites, or a third party to harm or legal risk.
Termination does not affect rights, payment obligations, liabilities, or provisions that by their nature should continue after termination.
18Third-party services and links
OakWrites may rely on hosting, email, payment, file-storage, analytics, security, communication, plagiarism-checking, or other third-party services. Their availability, processing times, policies, and technical performance are outside our complete control.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. Review their terms and privacy practices before using them. OakWrites is not responsible for third-party content, systems, decisions, losses, or interruptions except where the law provides otherwise.
19Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device, permanent availability of any feature, or error-free operation.
Content on the website is general information and is not legal, medical, financial, or other regulated professional advice. You should obtain qualified advice where decisions carry legal, health, financial, academic, or professional consequences.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
20Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OakWrites will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, including loss of grades, opportunity, admission, employment, revenue, data, reputation, or anticipated savings arising from your use of or reliance on the website or a Deliverable.
Where liability cannot be excluded, OakWrites’ total aggregate liability relating to a particular Order will not exceed the amount actually paid to OakWrites for that Order, unless applicable law requires a different remedy.
This section does not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any matter for which liability cannot legally be limited.
21Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate OakWrites for reasonable losses, claims, and costs arising from your unlawful use of the website or Deliverables, your breach of these Terms, your infringement of another person’s rights, or materials you provide without authority.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by OakWrites’ own unlawful conduct or negligence.
22Events beyond reasonable control
OakWrites is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including serious illness, natural disaster, power or internet failure, civil disruption, government action, labour disruption, cyber incident, payment-network failure, or widespread third-party outage.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption, communicate where practical, and resume performance when reasonably possible. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a revised deadline, alternative delivery method, credit, partial refund, or other fair remedy.
23Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without preventing you from relying on any mandatory consumer protection that applies in your place of residence.
Before commencing formal proceedings, you agree to contact us with a clear description of the issue and supporting information so both parties can attempt a good-faith resolution. If the dispute is not resolved, it may be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in Kenya, unless mandatory law requires another forum.
24Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements, security practices, or business operations. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Material changes will apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. The Terms in effect when an Order is confirmed will generally govern that Order, except for changes required by law, security, or mutual agreement.
25General provisions
Entire agreement: These Terms, the accepted quotation or Order summary, and incorporated policies form the agreement relating to the service. Specific written Order terms take priority where they expressly conflict with these general Terms.
Severability: If part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective, and the affected provision will be interpreted as closely as legally possible to its intended purpose.
No waiver: A delay or failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our consent. We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a lawful business reorganization, sale, or service arrangement, subject to applicable law and data-protection requirements.
Headings: Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of these Terms.

Questions, complaints, cancellation requests, and legal notices should be submitted through our Contact page. Please include your Order number where relevant, but do not publish confidential account or payment information in public channels.
